Message from the PFSO President
Welcome to the 2026/27 school year! We are excited for all that this year has to offer and look forward to another great year together.
What is the PFSO?
For those who may not be familiar with the PFSO (Parent, Faculty & Student Organization), we’d like to take a moment to explain what we do.
All parents, faculty, and students are members of the PFSO. The organization is run by a board of parent volunteers who work together to support our school, students, faculty, and families.
Through fundraising, the PFSO helps fill gaps in school funding and provides support for many important programs and activities, including:
Field trips
Student safety needs and supplies
Teacher and classroom needs
Staff appreciation
Block D for seniors
Scholarships
Other student and school needs throughout the year
Supporting Each Class
Each grade has four parent representatives who help organize fundraising and support class-specific needs and activities, such as Homecoming and senior-year events.
Senior events such as Senior Banquet, Baccalaureate and Grad Nite are not school-sponsored and are fully funded by fundraising throughout the students' four years and the dedication of parent volunteers.
We Need Your Help!
To continue providing these opportunities for our students, we need parent volunteers!
We currently have several open positions on the PFSO Board:
Four Parent Representatives for the Class of 2030 — this is our most immediate need.
Co-Treasurer
Co-Secretaries
Co-Communications
Fireworks Booth Chair
Whether you have volunteered before or this would be your first time, we would love to have you join us. Your time and involvement make a meaningful difference in the experience we can provide for our students.
Please take a moment to review our PFSO Bylaws, where you will find descriptions and responsibilities for each position.
If you are interested in volunteering for a position, please complete the PFSO Nomination Form.
Have questions or want to learn more? Please reach out to us at [email protected].
Thank you for supporting our students and helping make the Gael experience the best it can be!
with gratitude
