PFSO Fall Fund Fest-$30K in 30 Days - Final Update
THIS IS IT!!
This is our last update before the end of PFSO's Fall Fund Fest - "$30K in 30 Days" fundraiser. To date, we have raised $8,390 toward our goal of $30K. A BIG Thank you again to all who have contributed so far. Your generous contributions make it possible for us to continue to support our students and our teachers.
While your student may not participate in any of the clubs PFSO has supported in the past, PFSO offers support in many other ways that benefit the DHS student body as a whole. For example, at our most recent meeting, PFSO was asked to assist one of our P.E. teachers who paid almost $3,000 out of her own pocket to participate in a course where she learned skills she can now pass along to her students...OUR students. Unfortunately, given our current financial circumstances, PFSO was only able to approve a partial $700 contribution toward this teacher's expense.
This is not an unusual request. Our dedicated teachers at DHS are always looking for ways to enhance and update skills in their subject areas, bringing the most up-to-date information and learning to all of our students. They pursue these additional trainings and programs to provide our students with the best education possible in all areas of their academic and developmental growth. And they do so with no expectation of being reimbursed. We at DHS are lucky to have such committed, caring and devoted teachers! PFSO wants to continue to support them and their desire to provide our kids with the best education they can offer without allowing them bear the cost on their own.
There are only THREE days left of our fall fundraising campaign! Every donation, regardless of amount, is used to support our teachers and our kids. Every donation, regardless of amount, makes a difference. PLEASE DONATE TODAY by clicking here or through Facebook here.
PFSO Fall Fund Fest-$30K in 30 Days - Update 3
We have fewer than 10 days left in our “$30K in 30 Days” Fall Fund Fest campaign, and so far, we have received69 donations for a total of $6,340, a little over 1/5 of our goal (and $5,000 below what we budgeted for this year’s anticipated expenditures). While donations are welcome any time throughout the year, we had hoped to focus our efforts in one month and allow our community to focus on other priorities the rest of the year. As it stands, our ability to provide financial support to our school, our teachers and our students is currently compromised and we are looking at areas we may need to cut instead being able to offer additional support for “extras” requested by our school community as we have in the past, such as the following:
Last spring Dublin DECA had the amazing opportunity to send 12 members to the International
Career Conference in Atlanta Georgia. Dublin DECA is a career technical club that focuses on
business management, hospitality, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship and during
competitions members compete in role play scenarios which simulate real world business
meetings. The PFSO was able to provide a grant of $3,000 which covered transportation and
conference costs in Atlanta. This gracious donation helped members afford this once in a lifetime
trip. Not only did the PFSO help cover some of Dublin DECA’s conference costs, but allowed
Dublin DECA to have the wonderful opportunity to network with over 2,000 DECA members
from across the globe. At the conference members competed, but other members were able to
attend workshops to learn about entrepreneurship and business management from professionals.
Thanks to the PFSO, they did not only cover our costs but they helped fuel members venture to
learn. This donation allowed more students the chance to afford the conference and has equipped
members with the contacts, and drive to carry into their future careers.
Thank you PFSO!
VP of Leadership
With the donations we have received so far, PFSO will not be able to offer this kind of support to students who come to us asking for assistance this year. Please help us to continue to support our kids!
We only have only one more update before the conclusion of this campaign, and we hope it will be a good one! Dublin High School has a long-standing tradition of educational excellence. This tradition is enhanced by the collaboration between the school and the PFSO which includes financial support from the DHS community. We know the parents in this community want the best for our kids, and PFSO wants to continue to help provide them with the best educational experience we can offer. Remember:
$10 per student = OUR $30K GOAL!!!

Update 2 (November 14):
As of November 13, we have received $4,815.00 in donations from our generous DHS community! Thank you again to all who have donated. Your support is greatly appreciated!
We are almost halfway through our “$30K in 30 Days” fundraising campaign, but we are not yet halfway to our goal. With state funding for our schools being far less than ideal, PFSO has a long history of providing financial support to our teachers and students that allows us to offer them opportunities and experiences above and beyond the standard curriculum. Here is just one example from last year:
"During the 2017-2018 school year, PFSO provided $4,800 to the Economics teachers at DHS to purchaseFoundations in Personal Finance from Ramsey Solutions which was used to develop a single Personal Finance Unit. We created take-home texts on Savings, Budgeting, and Debt that students use in class and keep for future reference. Students are asked to apply this text material and the videos included in the curriculum. They create spending diaries, balance a checkbook, develop a zero sum budget, and create a PSA on the consequences of Debt. Many students have let us know that they find this unit very helpful as they begin to take responsibility for their financial future. The PFSO’s purchase of the Personal Finance curriculum will continue to make a big difference in many students' lives. Thank You."

We still have over $25,000 to go to meet our goal of being able to provide similar support for our students and teachers this year.
As we’ve said, if we were to receive a $10 donation for each student at DHS, we would meet our goal of $30K!
Help us to continue to enhance the educational opportunities available to ALL students at Dublin High. We can’t do it without you, so please donate today by clicking here.
Update 1 (November 7):
Seven Days of funding the future, and we have our first update! We have been able to raise $2,525 through generous donations so far, but we are not quite to our goal. The PFSO has committed $30K to support various programs and anticipated costs for the year and your donations are making that possible. A huge Thank-You to our supporters so far. We still cannot do this without everyone helping. ANY amount is greatly appreciated, and TAX DEDUCTABLE!
We are a week into our Fall Fund Fest and, as promised, we are sending out our first update… So far, we have raised $2,525 toward our goal of $30K in 30 Days! We want to extend a huge “thank you” to all who have donated so far. We are off to a great start! As the school year progresses, so does the need for financial support from PFSO. We have committed $30K in support for various programs and anticipated costs for the year and your donations are making that possible. And your donation is tax deductible!
Donating is easy, and any amount helps and is appreciated. Please click on the link below to donate.
We are 1/15th of the way there! Together we can raise $30K in 30 Days!
The DHS Parent Faculty Student Organization (PFSO) needs your help! PFSO wants to continue to fund and support activities and programs that benefit all students at Dublin High, but we can’t do it without you! Here are some of the programs we support:
So, during the month of November, our goal is to raise $30K in 30 Days! (Of course, donations will be accepted and appreciated at any time. The more we receive, the more we can do for our students and their academic development!)
The suggested donation is $180.00 per student (representing one dollar per day of instruction), but no donation is too small (or too large). Just imagine, if PFSO received a $10 donation per student currently enrolled, we would meet our goal of $30K. Please help us achieve that and more!
Here is how you can make your tax-deductible donation:
